Patricia Huerta, a junior high school drop-out began her journey weighing 550 pounds and a single mother of five seeking work unsuccessfully. Through dedication and hard work she received an A.A. from Cypress College, a B.S. in Human Services from California State University Fullerton, a Master’s in Social Work from California State University San Bernardino and a Master’s in Catechism from the Dioceses of Orange. Patricia has worked as the Parenting Coordinator for Orange County’s Department of Children and Family Services for over a decade, serving over 800 families. Her 26 years of experience working with parents and families in Orange County has given her the credentials to be a sought out public speaker for many community events. In recognition for her advocacy of families, Patricia has been the Orange County Blue Ribbon finalist in 2005, Telemundo 52 Padre Heroe of the LA Area in 2009, the Orange County Women Making a Difference Award and Orange County Hispanic Woman award in 2010. Patricia is a mother of 6 successful children.
